Las sucesivas salas del Museo ofrecen un recorrido temático que pone de relieve que Málaga, la ciudad en la que nació Picasso el 25 de octubre de 1881, está en la raíz de su personalidad y de su obra. Aquí transcurrieron sus diez primeros años de vida, hasta que en octubre de 1891 la familia se trasladó a La Coruña y posteriormente a Barcelona. Volvieron a Málaga en los veranos de 1895, 1896, 1897 y 1899. Su ultima estancia, acompañado solo de su amigo Casagemas, fue entre finales de diciembre de 1900 y el 28 de enero de 1901.

Admission is valid for people aged 18 and over. It includes entry to the Birthplace Museum and the temporary exhibition. Opening hours: Daily from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (last entry at 7:45 p.m.). A security check will be conducted, and backpacks must be stored in the lockers. Lockers are free and operate with a coin, which is refunded upon collection. Reduced rates and free admission are only applicable to tickets purchased at the ticket office upon presentation of the corresponding accreditation.
